Keeping an industrial fabric in France and protecting our planet, yes we are!
Sustainable development meets “present needs without compromising the capacity of future generations to meet theirs” This notion, which is based on the three economic, ecological and social pillars, is implemented by Diager in many ways, starting by the durability of our products. The origin and traceability of our products leave no room for doubt:the Guaranteed French origin label reassures our customers and shows our commitments. Diager has had this national label since 2012 for its hammer drill bits, its cylindrical drill bits and its diamond tools, thereby guaranteeing that 50% of the product’s value originates on the national territory and that the location at which the products took on their characteristics is in France.
From a purely environmental point of view, Diager is ISO 14001 certified. Material actions are the proof of our commitments in this area. Our voluntary approach to protecting the environment has four themes:
• Reduction of CO2 emissions.
Diager recovers the heat from its production machinery to heat its shop floor, uses a wood chip boiler to heat its offices, and works with local partners to limit the transport of its products. Since September 2011, the company has optimised single-parcel domestic transport, which represents savings of 1,600 tonnes of carbon equivalent every year (i.e. approximately 35% of the company’s overall emissions). In 2014, Diager invested in four electric vehicles.
• Selective waste sorting for recycling.
• Control of atmospheric emissions. Diager filters its atmospheric emissions to protect the environment and guarantee better air quality for neighbouring populations.
• Natural resource savings. Diager has reduced its water consumption by 40% in the last ten years by improving its industrial process.
